KPA was officially registered as an educational association on March 24, 2022, under the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960. It was formally inaugurated on July 27, 2022, by Professor A. S. Kiran Kumar, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
To connect students, teachers and researchers in physics and its allied disciplines all over Karnataka in order to make Karnataka a model state in innovative teaching, learning and application of physics to all kinds of problems.
To improve the standard of teaching, learning and application of physics at all levels – from school to university - by arranging talks, workshops, seminars, interaction sessions, conferences, competitions etc.
Karnataka Physics Association (KPA) is a registered not -for-profit educational organization with a jurisdiction extending over the entire state of Karnataka.The main objective of the Association is to encourage and improve teaching, learning and application of Physics at all levels from schools to universities by arranging a variety of programs like
lectures ,seminars, workshops, conferences, competitions, visits and interactions with experts.KPA is also striving to facilitate the usage of Kannada in higher education. Students , teachers and researchers are its members.
