A meeting of committed proposers to set up an association of physics teachers and students of Karnataka was held on February 12, 2022 at the Raman Lecture Hall, Physics Department, Central College, which is now in Bangalore City University. Seventeen interested persons attended the meeting. The meeting was conducted under the President ship of Prof G Venkatesh. Discussions, in depth, about thevarious aspects of the proposed associations were held in the meeting. Finally, the following resolutions were made.

The second meeting of the promoters of the Association was held, in online mode, on 2nd March 2022 at 6.00 PM. In that meeting, it was resolved that a Current Account be opened in any Scheduled Bank and the office bearers shall be authorized to operate the account.

Further it was resolved that any two of the following can sign the documents (for Bank transactions) at a time whenever required: G Venkatesh (President), P Nagaraju (Secretary), K M Raghavendran (Treasurer).

The Chairman of the Indian Academy Group of Institutions has kindly permitted the association to use the premises of the Indian Academy PU College for KPA office. It is located at the 9 th Main, 10 th Cross, Hennur cross, Hennur main road, Kalyannagar, Bengaluru – 560 043. Hence, that will serve as the registered office of the Association.

The Registration process was initiated on March 12, 2022. On that day, a meeting was held at Vijaya College, Basavanagudi to share the experiences of the registration process. As per the requirements of registration, it was resolved that out of 17 proposers 4 were nominated as office bearers and others are designated to serve as Executive Committee (EC) members unanimously up to the time of the next General Body meeting/election.
